Holly Valance was born as Holly Rachel Vukadinovic in Melbourne, Australia May 11th, 1983. Her real last name is from her father who is of Serbian origin and her mother is British.

Valance began modeling while still a teenager in Brighton, Victoria. A scout discovered her and cast her in the Australian soap opera "Neighbours" in 1999. Valance stayed with the series until 2002 when she left to pursue a career in music. Her first studio album, "Footprints", was released that year and was certified gold after selling 100,000 copies. Her second album "State of Mind", released in 2003, also received gold certification. However, sales were not up to expectations and Valance decided to stop pursuing music. There are also reports that the recording company Warner Bros dropped her though she denies this. Valance decided to return to acting and moved to the United States. She appeared in several episodes of "CSI: Miami", "Entourage" and later guest-starred in the second season of the series "Prison Break".

From 2006, Valance started appearing in films such as "DOA: Dead or Alive" and "National Lampoon's Pledge This!" However, she has only appeared in three other movies since then and all of moderate success. As of 2010, it Valance is reportedly returning to her music career and is working on another album. In 2003, Holly Valance went through a bout of legal problems after she fired her manager before his contract was up. He sued her and won the case, thus forcing Valance to pay damages.

Holly Valance has been in relationships with the Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin, the musician Frankmusik, and also with Jonny Dixon, a former English football player. She is currently in a relationship with the businessman Nick Candy.
