Kirsten Dunst is an actress as well as a singer and model. She was born April 30th, 1982 in Point Pleasant New Jersey.

She made her acting debut in the 1989 film "Oedipus Wrecks" by Woody Allen. When Dunst was six years old, she moved to Los Angeles with her mother and her parents eventually divorced officially in 1995. Her mother pushed Dunst along into an acting career and the young actress had problems dealing with the lifestyle. She was in many TV commercials and worked as a children's fashion model.

In 1994, Dunst's career had a breakthrough when she was cast alongside Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in the film "Interview with the Vampire". Despite Dunst's all American looks, she was able to portray a character with great depth and intelligence. Because of this, Dunst succeeded in acting and was able to avoid typecasts in later years. In the years afterwards, Kirsten Dunst appeared in acclaimed films like "Little Women", "Jumanji", and "Wag the Dog". In 2002, Dunst's role in the film "Spider-Man" took her career to new heights. After this success, Dunst had leading roles in various films which had her playing a range of characters from a peace activist to Marie Antoinette.

Dunst is also a talented singer and made her debut on two songs in the 2001 film "Get Over It". "In Spider-Man 3", Dunst performs two songs during the movie. However, Dunst has no plans of releasing an album. Kirsten Dunst's romantic life has been either well-hidden or not very active though she did briefly date actor Jake Gyllenhaal and musician Johnny Borrell. Dunst has worked to support Democrats John Kerry and then Barack Obama during the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections. Along with this, Dunst has also worked to support AIDS groups and Cancer research.
