Pamela Anderson is one of the most well-known public figures in acting and modeling, gaining attention as a sex symbol. She was born in 1967 in British Columbia in working class parents. After Pamela Anderson finished high school, she began to work as a fitness instructor in Vancouver. During a sports game, Anderson was discovered when she was shown on a stadium screen wearing a Labatt's t-shirt (a Canadian brewing company). The crowd went wild and the 21 year old Anderson was taken onto the field for an ovation. Immediately afterwards, Anderson got a modeling contract with Labatt's. Her modeling career continued and Pamela Anderson appeared on the cover of Playboy in 1989 and then again in 1990 when she was Playmate of the Month.

Today, Anderson has appeared more times in Playboy than any other model. Pamela Anderson went to LA to live and pursue her career further. Her first role was minor on "Tool Time". Two years later, Anderson got the role she would become most known for: CJ Parker on "Baywatch".

After this, Anderson became an immediate public figure and sex icon. She received many roles in films and guest appearances in TV programs and starring roles in sitcoms. Through this all, Pamela Anderson continued modeling.

Anderson's personal life has been widely publicized, especially because of her marriages to well known stars. A sex tape featuring Anderson and her then husband Tommy Lee of Motley Crue on their honeymoon was stolen from their home and released on the internet. It became a huge hit and furthered Anderson's image as a sex icon. Another sex tape of Anderson and Bret Michaels from Poison was also distributed on the internet. Anderson was also married to Kid Rock and Rick Salomon, both briefly.
