Rosie Jones comes from Santa Ana, California but made her home in Atlanta, Georgia and is best known as a female golfer who’s been competing professionally and internationally. 13 days into Nov this year, she will turn 51. Her love of golf saw her compete for New Mexico and take the title of Junior Champion in mid seventies only to become a state Champion at the end of that decade. She then got into LPGA Tour and ’88 was the best year for her financially.
For couple of years in a row in late nineties, she was a winner of LPGA Corning Classic. While never coming 1st in the tournaments, she came close in US Open ’84, LPGA Championship ’91, du Maurier Classic ’00 and Kraft Nabisco Champs ’05. Altogether, she can credit thirteen LPGA Tour appearances and good placements to her name as well as five other wins, totaling eighteen on national and international level.
Late in ’06, she gave up golf on a professional level after she was ranked fifty-seventh in US Open but that doesn’t mean that she gave it up completely. Legends Tour in ’07 saw her appear and Golf Channel used her expertise to talk about tournaments. Corning Classic ’08 saw her return on a more professional level. ’09 US Open didn’t bring her much luck but she did w win Kinoshita Pearl Classic that year.
In Feb ’10, she got herself a position of the leader for ’11 US Solheim Cup Team. 6 years ago, for the first time live she admitted that she likes women but those whom she was close to were aware of this fact for the past 3 decades. Rosie Jones has her own official website and during her time in this sport has made millions of dollars.
